About Us

Hello! We are The Cosy Chocolate Company, a family-run handcrafted drinking chocolate business based in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside. We are passionate chocolatiers that craft our own chocolate from scratch. 

We absolutely adore 'real' hot chocolate made from quality chocolate, and it's jolly hard to find here in the UK! So my husband and I (Jenny) along with our friend Rachel, decided to start our company, crafting high quality flaked drinking chocolate that you just need to swirl into milk to create the perfect smooth, creamy, indulgent hot chocolate. Alongside sharing the amazing experience of drinking quality hot chocolate created from real chocolate, we also wanted to help encourage folks to take a moment away from their busy lives to curl up, relax and enjoy a cosy moment with our drinks. Our hot chocolate being high in cocoa and fairly low in sugar (and with no additives, palm oil, substituted fats or preservatives) encourages the release of endorphins, and it's no secret that dark chocolate (in small quantities!) can have many health benefits. 

Our business began in 2019, where we began producing our chocolate from scratch in our home kitchen. We attended markets, spoke to retailers and got to share our passion with many other likeminded drinking chocolate fans! It was fantastic to see so many people try our recipes and fall in love with the flavour and quality of our products. 
 

Our business has grown a bit since then, and so has our family! My husband Matt and I had our first child in July 2021, and by that point the company had grown so big it had to move out of our kitchen! We now craft our chocolate in a little unit overlooking the Cotswolds in a village called Wickhamford. Our range expanded too, as we now craft single origin chocolate bars (which vary in taste distinct to the location we source the cocoa beans from!) plus a few more drinking chocolate flavours and gift sets too. We are always looking to grow and supply our customers with more choice!  

How is it made?

Rachel, our head of manufacturing, makes and flakes our own chocolate from scratch using only natural ingredients. We believe this ensures a smooth, deeply chocolatey texture and flavour, that melts into milk. We keep our recipes simple and free from preservatives. 

Who makes it?

We do! Our products have come from years of trialling and testing recipes ourselves from our country kitchen. We ensure every product is of top quality and tastes amazing.

Will you be introducing any more flavours soon?

Our dream is to keep expanding our range to include more and more fantastic flavours. We are constantly looking for fresh inspiration and a few additional flavours are already in the ‘tasting and testing’ stage.
